Ms. Potenzo graduated Magna Cum Laude from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor’s of Science. She earned her Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo Law School and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2016. During law school, Ms. Potenzo was an associate, and later an editor, of the Buffalo Law Review, as well as a finalist in a national trial team competition. In her final year of law school, she was selected as a Writing Fellow and tasked with assisting first year law students with legal research, writing and analysis.

During law school, Ms. Potenzo also participated in an externship with the Attorney for the Children unit of Legal Aid, assisting attorneys with representing children involved in neglect and abuse proceedings.  Ms. Potenzo also worked as a law clerk throughout her law school career at the Law Offices of William Bernhardi, where she assisted attorneys in handling a variety of civil litigation matters including personal injury, social security and family law.

Once admitted, Ms. Potenzo began working at Chelus, Herdzik, Speyer, & Monte, where she focused her practice in the area of insurance litigation defense, as well as handling other general practice matters including wills, estates, and worker’s compensation. Ms. Potenzo will now be focusing her practice in the areas of employment and labor matters affecting both employers and employees. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Potenzo worked as a director of Human Resources. She will be applying the skills she acquired in the field of Human Resources to her practice in employment law.

Ms. Potenzo is a member of the NYS Bar Association and the Erie County Bar Association.
