Mr. Piorkowski is a lifelong resident of Buffalo, New York. He attended the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts as a music major. Mr. Piorkowski then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Artes in history at the College at Brockport. Mr. Piorkowski successfully defended his thesis on William Blake and the construct of English nationalism, and he was able to present his work at a number of universities around the country. Mr. Piorkowski was awarded the School of Letters and Sciences Graduate Award, which is the highest award that the College at Brockport presents to a graduate student.

Mr. Piorkowski graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, in 2011, and was admitted into the New York State Bar that same year. After receiving his admission to the bar, Mr. Piorkowski began to focus his practice on the areas of personal injury, corporate transactions and corporate litigation.

Mr. Piorkowski takes great pride in representing those injured as a result of the negligence of others. He has an awareness of the needs of those who have found themselves in life-altering situations due to the actions of someone else. Mr. Piorkowski has represented those who have been injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents, labor/construction accidents, slip and falls, dog bites and assaults.

Mr. Piorkowski is a member of the board of directors of Internal Creations, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing music education to public schools in New York City. Mr. Piorkowski enjoys assisting business owners in navigating complex transactional matters and protecting their interests through litigation.

In addition to his corporate practice, Mr. Piorkowski represents many bar and restaurant owners with matters concerning the New York State Liquor Authority. Mr. Piorkowski has conducted numerous hearings at the New York State Liquor Authority and has handled many investigations into bar and restaurants owners for alleged violations of the New York State Alcoholic Beverage Law.

Mr. Piorkowski has been involved in numerous jury trials, has argued before the New York State Appellate Division on multiple occasions, and has been successful in a matter that went to the Court of Appeals, the highest court in the State of New York. Mr. Piorkowski was named a 2017 Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Mr. Piorkowski also serves on the board of directors for Internal Creations, a New York City-based not-for-profit group that strives to bring classical guitar education to public schools around the country.

Mr. Piorkowski is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Erie County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New York State, U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and the Western District Bankruptcy Court.
